A little bit about me…
With over a decade of classical vocal training and international stage experience, soprano Audrey Layendecker brings a deep understanding of the voice and a passion for teaching to every lesson. Audrey holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from George Mason University and has trained in both the U.S. and Italy.
Audrey’s operatic and concert credits include lead and supporting roles in Lakmé, Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, and L’enfant et les sortilèges, as well as solo performances in major works such as Brahms’ Zigeunerlieder, Handel’s Messiah, and Mozart’s Requiem. She has studied with several reputable voice teachers, notably Marishka Wierzibicki (broadway voice coach extraordinaire) and is currently studying with the incomparable tenor, Jack Lavigni.
As a voice teacher, Audrey offers personalized instruction in classical and modern technique, audition preparation, language diction, and performance artistry. Her teaching style blends technical rigor with expressive freedom, helping students of all levels build confidence, discover their unique sound, and enjoy the process of vocal growth. Drawing from fluency and study in German, Italian, and French, Audrey is particularly skilled at coaching in multiple languages and styles.
